Micaela Myers
Micaela Myers is an American writer and editor, based in the Rocky Mountain west.
After completing her BA in literature and writing, she earned her MFA in creative writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her short stories have been published in a number of journals and earned several awards. She is currently working on my memoir.
Since 2002, Myers has worked as a professional magazine editor and writer. She started her editing career at Horse Illustrated Magazine. From there she moved to the successful startup Firebrand Media LLC in Laguna Beach, Calif. As group editor, Myers oversaw Laguna Beach Magazine (winner of two Maggie awards for Best City Magazine), Newport Beach Magazine, Bespoke Magazine, Montage Magazine, Preferred Lifestyles magazine, Loews Magazine and Sea Island Life magazine, among others. She also created a variety of other custom marketing copy, including blogs, enewsletters and web.
In 2013, Myers took on the role of writer and editor for the University of Wyoming's flagship publication, UWyo Magazine.
She also is a freelance writer, editor and content creator, and has authored three equestrian books: The Horse Illustrated Guide to Trail Riding and Trailering (BowTie Press), and Knack Leg and Hoofcare for Horses (Globe Pequot Press).
