I volunteered for two years with Pit Bull Rescue San Diego and currently volunteer with StubbyDog. I've always been an animal lover, and the more I learned about the plight of pit bulls, the more I wanted to help. True underdogs, pit bulls are currently the number one type of dogs found (and euthanized) in shelters, the most abused type of dog and the most misunderstood. As a public relations volunteer for PBRSD, my efforts resulted in a number of articles and TV appearances spotlighting the rescue's excellent work and also helping to educate the public about pit bulls.
